Assistant Research Scientist (Post Doc Positions)

Assistant Research Scientists are considered exempt status

Under this category, employees are:

1. Offered subsidized health insurance
2. Receive retirement (either State Retirement or Optional Retirement Plan)
3. Receive leave accrual
4. Will be assigned an email address
5. Will be assigned keys
6. Will receive a University ID
7. Will appear on website

ARS positions must be advertised on the required sites. Faculty members may also elect to post on various scientific web sites and publications. In most cases, the faculty/supervisor will post the optional ads themselves. However, the HRC is always available to provide assistance upon request. Advertising costs will be charged to the appropriate grant. Once a candidate is selected, their CV should be provided to the HRC which will then be provided to Associate Director for salary determination based on education and professional experience.
