A Primer on Zoom
Prior to the beginning of each semester, Renee Arnold (firstname.lastname@example.org) will receive a list of all CBL courses. Each course will be assigned to a room and the corresponding zoom account will be used to create each course's Conference ID. Once a room and Conference ID are reserved, each Faculty member teaching will receive an email with the zoom information, room assignment, and login credentials so that they may access the course as the host. See below for an example of what to expect. Note, courses will be set up with the following specifications:
Title: MEESxxx: Instructor name/Instructor name- Brief Title (Semester)
Recurring based on the schedule of your course
Recorded over the cloud
Mute participants upon entry
The passcode will always be 1925 so students/faculty don't need to remember multiple
Host/Participant Video and Audio on
Breakout Room pre-assign checked in case you utilize this feature during your course
When using a zoom account, always log out of the account when you are done. This aids in reducing confusion for those who will utilize the classrooms and also eliminates the chance of technical difficulties
When logging in to an account be sure you select your course. There may be other courses within that same account and we do not want another faculty member's course set up to be disturbed.
Always log in as the host. This will give you full control of your course when teaching. Especially in the rare event that something pops up that shouldn't.
To access your recordings, log in to the zoom account (zoom.us) designated for your particular course and click the recordings tab on the left-hand side of the screen. Locate your course title and the corresponding date to download or share.
